Intermission – Within reach

I dream of seeing stars lighting up a midnight canvas

Wandering in fields of grass, swaying in a gentle dance

Sitting outside, drinking in the sun rays like sweet champagne

A sense of peace as my limbs become tethered to the earth

I find myself surrounded by a crowd of jaded faces and crushing bodies

Moving through the rush hour tunnel, silently willing us to take off and fly

A city of glass and imposing shapes, weaving through a blazing fire collision

Eager voices wrecking thoughts, a million stories pounding on the pavement drums
